Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MOT Crew Lead to oversee and manage traffic control operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to safety. The role requires adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement traffic control setups to ensure the safety of the public and team members.
- Set up and dismantle lane closures and other traffic control equipment.
- Safely load, unload, and transport signs, cones, and barricades.
- Direct traffic around construction sites using flagging and signaling techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Drive company vehicles to transport equipment and trailers to and from work sites.
- Collaborate with customers & coworkers to maintain a secure and efficient work zone.
- Monitor job site conditions and adjust traffic control strategies as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and report any potential safety issues.
- Complete all required job-related paperwork and documentation.
- Install and remove ground-mounted traffic signs.
- Understand underground utility locate markings.
- Safe and proper operation of hand tools.
- May be assigned to assist with other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in traffic control, flagging, or lane closure operations.
- Advanced Certification.
- Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
- Strong work ethic, communication skills, and positive attitude.
- Pass background check and drug screen.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and extended shifts (10+ hours).
- Ability to lift, carry, or move 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform regular physical tasks, including extended standing, walking on construction sites, and frequently bending, kneeling, and reaching.
